I too do not know the exact numbers. Here is my best information.
Tegels I believe exist today:
1. From Katowice, now in Auschwitz museum storage.
2. From Berlin, now in Ludwigsberg museum storage.
3. From Posen, now exhibited in Posen Fort museum. Bad condition.
4. From Brandenburg, now exhibited in Berlin Historical Museum.
5. From Vienna, now exhibited in Vienna.
6. From North-Rhine/Westphalia, possibly in the Mainz prison, built after the War or in a museum case.
7. Prague, exhibited in its orginal setting at Pancraz Prison.
8. One seen in the Dutch film; possible location Leipzig.
9. Dortmund, built after the War. Location unknown.
Tegels known to exist at the end of WW2 (this I think is a partial list) but whose present location is unknown:
1. Dresden (reported to me to no longer be here/location unknown)
2. Halle-Salle prison (truck mounted during DDR)
3. Hamm
4. Danzig, some reports but may not have existed.
5. Frankfurt
6. Brandenburg
7. Vienna
8. Munich/Straubing (in river) but might have been a Mannhardt.
9. Prague
10. Liepzig?
11. Hamburg (reported in good shape, fixed to the floor)
12. Katowice (brought there from ?)
13. Nuremburg (one report of a fallbeil being there...a Tegel?)
14. Wulfenbeuttel
15. Stuttgart, reported destroyed in bombing.
(This of course does not account for at least 5 Tegels of the 20 reportedly built and there may be more.)
